Please provide all the information in the form — it will just take a minute so that we can enroll you for the most exciting sports in Austin Bangladeshi Community!
NB: New players who have never played with us in our weekly games need to show up at least 1 day in our community volleyball games before the draft to be eligible to participate.
Drafting Process
- The tournament will have 16 or 20 teams depending on the total number of enrolled players. (The example below assumes 20 teams.)
- The Organizing Committee will select the top 20 Captains.
- Each Captain will be paired with one non-playing Team Manager.
- Any player can also become a Playing Manager by contributing a minimum of $300 toward tournament organizing expenses.
Before the draft:
- All Captains will rank the other Captains.
- The average score from all rankings will determine the final Captain ranking from #1 to #20.
- This ranking will be used for the first-round draft process.
The first round will be completed through lottery.
Phase 1
- Captains ranked 11–20 participate in the first lottery.
- The lottery determines their player selection order.
Phase 2
- Captains ranked 1–10 participate in the second lottery.
- They complete the remaining first-round selections.
Auction Rules
- Minimum bid: 100 points
- Maximum bid for a player: 800 points
Round 2
Auction order follows snake order from Round 1. The Captain who picks last in Round 1 starts Round 2.
Round 3
A new lottery determines the auction order.
Round 4
Auction order follows the snake order from Round 3.
Round 5
Player selection order determined by lottery only.
Round 6 (if needed)
Player selection order follows the snake order from Round 5.
Draft Flow Summary
Tournament Format
20 teams divided into two groups. Every team plays against every other team within their group (9 league matches each).

After the first round of league games, teams are split into divisions based on performance.
Elite Division
Top 4 from each group
= 8 Elite Teams
Plate Division
Ranked 5th–8th from each group
= 8 Plate Teams
Eliminated
9th & 10th from each group
Eliminated after Stage 1
Each Group X team plays against all Group Y teams within their division. New rankings are created.

X1, X2, X3, X4 each play Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4
→ New ranking: P1–P8
Plate Division
X5, X6, X7, X8 each play Y5, Y6, Y7, Y8
→ New ranking: Q1–Q8

Tournament Goals
- Every team will get multiple competitive matches.
- Teams will continue competing against opponents with similar performance levels.
- Both Elite and Plate divisions will have their own championship opportunity.
- The draft system combines fairness through lottery and strategy through auction to create balanced and competitive teams.
